As this Confidential Pharmaceutical Manufacturer continues to expand and reinforce its campus infrastructure in upstate New York, Martin Electric was selected to support a critical power upgrade serving Building 85. Delivered in partnership with BBL Construction, this four-month project focused on enhancing the reliability and long-term performance of the company’s electrical distribution system.

The scope of work centered on the installation of new courtyard switchgear and associated infrastructure to support ongoing operational demands. Martin Electric installed 4” rigid aluminum conduit and 350 kcmil 5kV cable, tying into existing underground manholes and conduit pathways to seamlessly integrate the new equipment with the campus’ active electrical systems. Careful coordination and planning were essential to execute tie-ins safely while maintaining uninterrupted facility operations.

Additional work included setting the new switchgear and completing all required grounding for the equipment pad, ensuring system integrity, code compliance, and long-term reliability. The project required precise execution within a constrained courtyard environment, reinforcing the importance of experience, planning, and attention to detail when working in mission-critical facilities.
