SMART Electrical Solutions

Martin Electric has delivered multiple mission-critical projects for owners in both the public and private sectors over its history including converting an old Ames Plaza mall into a call center with a 128,000 SQFT Tier III mission- critical data processing and storage center in the Capital Region in 2008. The design of the facility and infrastructure focused on complete redundancy, as well as a continuity plan for failure of any aspect of the system. Martin Electric returned for the repeat client to complete an existing end-of-life UPS replacement project.

Services Provided:

Replace four end-of-life 750 kVA UPS' (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for a Tier III Data Center.

The goal of this project was to replace four end-of-life 750 kVA UPS' (Uninterruptible Power Supply) for a Tier III Data Center, responsible for global aerospace and defense. A UPS is a large electrical device designed to provide backup power during a power outage or disturbance. The UPS devices installed each hold a power capacity that handles up to 750,000 volt-amperes of load, powering critical equipment like servers, industrial machinery, and data centers. These pieces of equipment are crucial to ensure no disruption to operations.

As a full-service provider, Martin Electric continues to support the data center since 2008 through preventative maintenance as well as emergency response service which provides manpower and a dedicated standby generator at the ready 24/7.
